They are perfectly adapted to inhabiting multiple environments. They are able to process a wide variety of foods, live in extreme conditions, and reproduce rapidly. The German Cockroach
The German Cockroach remains the number one most common cockroach pest species, and many consider it one of the most common pest insects overall! These cockroaches are not actually from Germany, nor are they from Bowling Green. These roaches have been around much longer than these places have existed. However, they have taken up residence in human dwellings quite nicely. An infestation starts from a simple wandering cockroach from outside your home. After all, these roaches do live in other places besides our home. After one or two German Cockroaches find a suitable environment, they begin to reproduce in the same area!
If I were a German Cockroach, my ideal home would be a nice home in Bowling Green on the edge of town. The humans of the home would drop lots of food bits under the refrigerator. Then at night when they go to bed, I sneak out with my other cockroach buddies and eat all the goodies, then hurry back to my hiding places around the stove and cabinets where the humans never see me. I would dream at night of mostly happy dreams, but every once in a while I dream of horrible times. One day my nightmares may become a reality when I hear a Toby’s Pest Control technician walking into the home to fin my buddies and I hiding in your home…
